Academic Information Section

The Academic Information Section's tasks include:
- providing advice on the possibilities of using external sources of funding;
- providing formal and administrative support in preparing competition applications and conducting financial evaluations of projects in preparation;
- communicating with the managers of projects implemented at the IS PAN;
- cooperating with institutions that organise competitions;
- entering information into modules specified by regulations in the Integrated Information Network on Science and Higher Education (POL-on); and
- supporting the Institute's scientific activities by cooperating with the editorial offices of all academic journals published by IS PAN.
The Scientific Information Section supports the Institute's scientific activities by collaborating with the editorial offices of all academic journals published by the IS PAN. Its tasks include providing advice on legal matters relating to open access and CC licences, as well as matters relating to publication ethics. The Section assists editorial offices in applying to indexing databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and DOAJ. It is also responsible for cooperating with databases and repositories, including archiving published content in repositories. The Section assists editorial offices with formal matters relating to the evaluation of scientific activity and the application process for public funds.
