The main goal of the project is conducting research on musical output of Polish composers living outside of Poland, especially in 20th and 21st century. In our team, we have focused on such prolific and influential composers like Karol Rathaus, Ludomir Michał Rogowski, Andrzej Panufnik, Roman Palester.
We organize various conferences to build networks with other experts in the same field of studies and publish a series titled Muzyka polska za granicą [Polis Music Abroad] to expand the knowledge on Polish music in the local and international context.
We conduct a cyclical, open interdisciplinary seminar "Artistic migrations in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries" [Migracje artystyczne w XIX, XX i XXI wieku] at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, in which doctoral students can participate.
