The Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences publishes five quarterly journals:
These are peer-reviewed journals with a long tradition, devoted to various fields of art research. Each of them has a printed and electronic version in open access. The journals are indexed in many databases, including Scopus, DOAJ, and CEEOL. According to the ministerial list, 100 points are awarded for publication in these journals.

Publishing ethics
The ethical principles applied by the editorial boards of journals are consistent with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). In order to maintain high standards of scientific publication, the editorial boards expect all persons cooperating with them to comply with the principles set out in The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, with particular emphasis on:
- integrity at all stages and in all aspects of research;
- honesty in developing, evaluating and disseminating research;
- respect and care for all parties involved in research;
- responsibility for the entire research process, from conception through planning to publication of results.

Financing
IS PAN journals are published, financed and organisationally supported by the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the LIBER PRO ARTE association. Some quarterly journals are also subsidised by grants and ministerial programmes. Information on all forms of additional financing is posted on the journals' websites.

The editorial offices of IS PAN journals accept submissions of texts on topics consistent with their profile on an ongoing basis or as part of an open call for papers.
