Julia Palacz graduated in musicology at Jagiellonian University (2022, master's thesis ‘The Early Keyboard Concerto in Naples: Works of Francesco Durante (1684-1755) and Domenico Auletta (1723–1753)’ written under the supervision of prof. Piotr Wilk). She completed the Musical Editing Course organised by Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (2020); during The ‘Heritage of Polish Music in Open Access’ project, led by The Fryderyk Chopin Institute, she was cataloguing in RISM database the musical sources from The Archives of the Cracow Cathedral Chapter (2020-21). She worked as an editor in Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (2023-24), since 2024 she is a part of the editorial team of the series ‘Monumenta Musicae in Polonia’ in Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Moreover, in the Doctoral School in the Humanities at Jagiellonian University she is currently conducting a research project devoted to the oeuvre by Giuseppe Valentini. Her scientific interests focus on instrumental music in Europe at the turn of 17th and 18th century and musical editing.
