Dariusz Konstantynów, PhD
Editor-in-chief of Quarterly "Biuletyn Historii Sztuki"
He graduated from the Institute of Art History at the University of Warsaw. In 1987, he was employed at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where he obtained a PhD in humanities in the field of history – art history. Between 2010 and 2025, he worked as an assistant professor at the Institute of Art History at the University of Gdańsk, where he supervised dozens of bachelor’s and master’s theses. Since July 2025, he has been working for the editorial office of „Biuletyn Historii Sztuki” (Art History Bulletin). He specialises in the history of Polish artistic life in the second half of the 19th and first half of the 20th century, with particular emphasis on art exhibitions, their organisation and reception, as well as the history of art criticism. His interests also include the relationship between the visual arts and ideology and politics. He is the author of two monographs and several dozen academic articles.
