Agnieszka Sosnowska, PhD
Assistant Professor at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, researcher, curator. Graduate of Cultural Studies and Philosophy at the University of Warsaw. Ph.D. in the Humanities based on her dissertation "The Act of Disappearance as a Response to the Crisis of Modernity: A Cultural Studies Analysis of Selected Artistic Practices from the Mid-20th Century", supervised by Prof. Leszek Kolankiewicz (2017). She is interested in artistic practices at the intersection of disciplines, as well as the exhaustion of the modernist paradigm in the art of the 1960s and 1970s. She combines research work with curatorial practice. From 2008 to 2020, she was a curator at the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art.
