Justyna Biernat, PhD
A graduate of theatre studies and classical philology at the Jagiellonian University. Doctor of Humanities (Jagiellonian University) based on her dissertation: The Dramaturgy of Lamentation. The Mourning of Ancient Greek Tragedy in the Context of Psychoanalysis. Dissertation defended with honours in 2017 (supervisor: Dr Katarzyna Fazan). She completed part of her doctoral studies at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Professor Oliver Taplin.
She runs the Passages of Memory Foundation, which protects the multicultural heritage of Tomaszów Mazowiecki (author and coordinator of educational and artistic projects, as well as a theatre educator).
