She graduated with a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Warsaw and then completed the postgraduate studies in Academic Libraries, therein. Throughout her career she worked at the Library of the Institute of Industrial Design, the Library of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, the Department of Scientific Information at the Institute for Nuclear Research in Świerk, and the Training Department at the Institute of Industrial Design.  She has been working at the Library of the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 1989. Between 1992 and 2016, she served as the Head of the Library. During her tenure, the Library underwent modernization funded by a grant from the Foundation for Polish Science, including the renovation of the main reading room and the periodicals reading room. She also obtained a grant for wiring the Library building and connecting it to the NASK network. She was a co-initiator of the creation of the Warsaw Consortium of Art History Libraries and an active member of the team that conducted the tender and selected computer software for these libraries, a process finalized by securing ministerial funding for the relevant purchase. Along with Ewa Taranienko, she wrote a chapter about the history of the Library published in Instytut Sztuki Polskiej Akademii Nauk 1949–1999, Warsaw 2000.
