Scattered Archive. Building and developing a repository of knowledge about Ryszard Stanisławski
The aim of my doctorate was to create and scientifically develop the archive of Ryszard Stanisławski, an art historian and critic, curator and long-time member of the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź. His multifaceted professional activity corresponds to the amount of archival materials that are de facto the only source of knowledge about him. During my presentation, I will present the main assumptions of the project, its course and the results achieved, as well as what turned out to be impossible to research over a period of four years.
Natalia Słaboń – researcher, PhD student. Head of the Research Center at Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź – department of scientific research and public program. At the Doctoral School of Humanities, University of Łódź, she is preparing a doctoral dissertation devoted to Ryszard Stanisławski, long-time director of the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź. Editor (together with Marta Madejska and Agnieszka Pindera) of the publication “Proszę mówić dalej. Historia społeczna Muzeum Sztuki w Łodzi”, editor (together with Wojciech Szymański) of the publication “Over There. Works by Alice Halicka from 1913-1947 in Foreign Collections), as well as (together with Agnieszka Pindera and Paweł Polit) of the book “The 1982 Cultural Exchange Between Łódź and Los Angeles”. Since 2022, lecturer at the Institute of Contemporary Culture, University of Łódź.
