Historyczka sztuki, doktor (ISPAN, 2015); specjalizuje się w sztuce XX i XXI wieku, w teoriach postkolonialnych i postzależnościowych oraz globalnych procesach modernizacyjnych w teorii sztuki, sztuce oraz ich instytucjach. Autorka tesktów popularnych o sztuce oraz kuratorka wystaw, od lat uczestniczych w projektach poświęconych współczesnej sztuce estońskiej np. w Cultural Heterologies and Democracy Culture in the Baltic Countries in the 1990s. Obecnie prowadzi badania nad wymianą artystyczną pomiędzy PRL i krajami socjalistycznej Azji w latach 1950-tych.
Karolina Łabowicz-Dymanus is a researcher in art history. She received her PhD from the Institute of Art, Polish Academy of Sciences, where she works as an assistant professor now. Her research interests include the writing of art history, postcolonial and post-dependency theories, cultural dimensions of the global Cold War, theory and aesthetics of art from the Socialist to the contemporary era, and artistic and institutional responses to the global modernisation processes in 1950s and 1990s. Currently she works on a research project focusing on artistic exchange between Poland and socialist Asian countries in the 1950s.
